I think that you people should support the President and your military. This war is not about the procurement of oil. It's about cutting an evil leader off at the pass. It's about stopping a man who has no regard for human life, except his own. I'm sure that you people would have been spreading the same crap about intervening where Hitler was concerned. I just saw a spokesperson for the Axis of Justice on Tv, and although he is articulate and passionate about his views he is obviously very misguided. The potential war against Iraq is not about oil. Sadam Hussein would like to have a larger market for his oil, and we could merely make a deal if we needed his oil. His is not the only oil in the world.
So, I would ask that you have a little more respect for those who obviously know more about the details that you do. While I truly hope there is no war, if we acquiese in the face of a bully, then we will loose respect and be the object of all other bullies in the world and will not longer be the proponent of independence, freedom, and supporter of those wanting freedom. I personally KNOW some of the Iraquis and they know what Sadam Hussein is really like, unlike those who are looking for an outlet for their frustrations and take to the streets on a band wagon. Thankfully, America guarantees the right of freedom of speech and assembly- unlike in Iraq. So, enjoy the freedom to protest. God bless America!

Well, not that I have anything against taking out Saddam, I don't think war is the way to do it. He IS contained. He can't do the damage that he did before the world mobilized against him. He is NOT a threat to the United States or its interests because he is under wraps.
Also, as the father of a child who could possibly end up fighting in this unnecessary action - I don't like the idea that my daughter (or her husband to be) could end up killed in a pointless battle that is basically George W's way of making up for his dad. Its a personal Vendetta.
Korea is a much larger threat and also needs to be addressed in a non combatant manner.
War is a LAST resort and the good guys don't attack first.
