I also wouldn't rule out the Bush Administration having a hand in this matter. Let's be real for a second. Even though the Bush Administration says that it wants democracy in Pakistan , they have more to gain with Musharraf in power than they do with Bhutto in power. If they could secure "democracy" AND Musharraf as ruler, then that would be ideal. But we know that wouldnt be the case because Bhutto was going to wipe the floor with both Musharraf and Sharif. Plainly put, Benizir isn't going to allow the United States to run roughshod over her country in the way that Musharraf has. Having Bhutto has prime minister is a threat to business from them and the Bush Administration. So, they abided under the philosophy if realpolitik and they did what they had to to remain in power. Every instinct in me says that Bush had a hand in this.<!-- X-spaminator-passed: IP check --><!-- X-spaminator-passed: email check --><!-- X-spaminator-strike: short field, 1 --><!-- X-spaminator-passed: author check --><!-- X-spaminator-strike: empty field - author url, 1 --><!-- X-spaminator-passed: author url --><!-- X-spaminator-passed: comment body -->
