It’s Only Truth If You Tell Me What I Want to Hear
Yesterday, the President a small meeting of six “experts” to give their “honest opinions” about Iraq.
One of those six was Amir Taheri, the PR agent who wrote the totally fraudulent article about the Iranian government forcing Jews to wear colored armbands like they did in Nazi Germany. As you’ll recall, it turned out that no such law existed, and that Taheri really didn’t have any sources for his claims at all. Straight scare-mongering.
On the plus side, maybe Bush wasn’t turning to the paid liar for “honest opinions.” Maybe he wanted to hire him to spread more lies on the neocons’ behalf.
