Very true. It is a time-honored liberal tradition. Like you said- we need better ideas, tactics and such. Sigh. if everyone voted how they feel, we might end up with something different. I mean Perot did get 19% of the vote in 92. 20 million votes. We all know how dissatisfied many are with both parties, but the left doesnt voter and fiscal conservatives are still afraid to break ranks. I mean American Conservative had an editorial pick for pres. and only 1 went with W. 1 was Kerry, 1 Nader (for old libertarian values, not his supposed 'commie' crowd) 1 Libertarian, 1 for not voting and sadly 2 for Constitution.
